  I used to eat at Don Pedro weekly when I worked in hegewisch and it was always good back then.  I mean I only ever got the steak tacos, so those are for sure good.  I went back recently while visiting Chicago and those steak tacos are still good.  It's been 13 years since I had them and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were still good.
  
  I would recommend Don Pedro's to anyone, and I would also recommend that you get the steak tacos because they are delicious.

  First time here in over twenty years and I must say not much has changed. The server stated the owners are still the same and the food was still delicious. I ordered a torta it was as good as I remembered. My mom had two tacos and an enchilada and enjoyed both.
  
  What's upsetting is now when I go home to Michigan I won't be able to find food this good. The only drawback is the decor hasn't changed nor has it been updated in over 20 years but other than the decor this place is amazing. Great service with very nice and friendly staff.

  My aunt and I tried this place for lunch last week. Pretty decent little place for a quick lunch. I had the  Steak Torta, rice & Sangria Margarita. The meat was good and seasoned and the drink was quI was surprised at how slow the service was considering the time of day and there wasn't very many people in there. I only saw to woman working while we were there. Our waitress was working the bar and taking orders. Unfortunately we didn't get our drinks until a few minutes before the food came so after eating we still had almost full drinks. Overall the food and experience wasn't bad and I would try them again.

  This is a great Mexican restaurant.  Been going here for years and years. Great food. I've tried a lot of the menu. Lunches, and dinners. I haven't stuck around for their late night upstairs fun, but I heard it's a blast. They also have sporting event specials like premier boxing events.
  The staff is extremely friendly and fun. They will go out of their way to make sure you're satisfied.  
  Some of my favorites:
  Lomo de res en chili de arbol
  Caldo de pollo
  Guizado de puerco  
  Pollo en mole
  Plenty of parking, clean restaurant,  traditional decor.
  I recommend this place, even for a couple of drinks at the bar. They mix great margaritas also.

  Don't brother ordering thru them.they never answer and they don't take over the phone orders anymore.Messed up on my online order so then I had to drive to them and then they still were trying to charge me extra for what I ordered thru online because there cooks couldnt read the comment box.really! This place is ridiculous and over charges for everything.I think I will go to coculas from now on. No thank you to this crappy place. Im pretty sure they still charge for water when you sit down to dine like they did the last time.
